MICHELE’S STORY:
Just 8 years ago, I was overweight, bloated, and exhausted.

Maybe you can relate to this: my mornings were not a whole lot of fun. For starters, I had a love-hate relationship with my snooze button. My alarm would go off, and I knew I should get up to go to the gym, but I was just tired and unmotivated. When I finally did get out of bed, getting dressed was an ordeal because I didn’t like the way I looked or how I felt in any of my clothes. I longed for the days when I remembered looking and feeling sexy.

Evenings were not any better. I would push through my exhaustion and wearily force myself to go to evening social or work commitments.

After eating, I’d find myself in a food coma and would have to go home and put myself to bed. I always felt like I missed out on the best parts of the night!I was in a rut and hoped desperately for something to energize me and add more sizzle to my life.

That is when I discovered a series of steps that changed everything.

I discovered movement that I loved, and with this, my energy levels increased. I began to bounce out of bed in the morning. I learned how to prevent my food comas and discovered a way of eating that allowed me to lose the extra pounds easily and effortlessly.

The best part was, I stopped feeling like I was missing out and began to feel more connected to my friends and family.

MEGAN’S STORY:

Like Michele, 8 years ago I too was overweight, bloated, exhausted… and frankly pretty sick. My main struggle was with my belly. For years I suffered like crazy with constant indigestion, pain, bloating, gas—you name it, I had it. Some days, I literally couldn’t eat anything without an “attack” that would leave me stuck in bed.

I went to my doctor who eventually diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (yuck!) but did not explain to me what this was or how to deal with it.

Over the next 8 years, I did everything I could think of to help myself, but nothing worked. So not only was my belly still a mess, but I also felt exhausted from the stress and missed out on fun with loved ones because I was trying to soothe my stomach.

All the while my friends, family and colleagues seemed to be thriving without this debilitating (and secret) problem. I constantly felt like I had to put on a happy “it’s-going-GREAT” face to the outside world, when inside I felt like nobody really knew me because I was hiding my pain all the time.

Finally, I made a profound, life-changing decision that I WAS going to discover what it really took to heal my belly.

I sought help and advice from every source, healer and “guru” I could think of and implemented what I learned for my health. Now, this year, my belly feels better than ever. I realized along the way that I wasn’t just healing my digestive system; I was also waking up my entire body from years of not eating the right foods, ignoring its needs for movement and self-care. I came out healthier, happier and more energized than I ever thought I could be. For that I’m actually grateful to my belly for speaking up and telling me I needed to change my lifestyle. And I’ve developed systems for truly listening to your body so that you can have optimal health, energy, pleasure and you can fall in love with your own skin.
